POSITION BRIEF OUTLINE OF DUTIES & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED APPLICATION DEADLINE
 
Firefighter-Paramedic
The Salem Fire Department is accepting applications and resumes for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic. Potential candidates must meet the following qualifications and conditions: National Registry EMT Paramedic, Firefighter Level 1, AND comply with New Hampshire Fire Standards and Training Commission’s Rule Part 703, Transfers; OR, be on the NH Statewide Firefighter Eligibility List as of September 2008; OR have a valid CPAT certificate and have taken the NH Statewide written exam within the last 26 months. Union contract first step: $19.53/hr.

Light Equipment Operator (Full-Time)
Must possess CDL-B license; position requires driving Town trucks, vehicles and other light motorized equipment. Must have proven mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and perform labor-intensive work preferably in the construction industry. Position requires a flexible, dependable, physically fit, team player who can work outdoors and under time constraints. H.S. diploma or GED required. Duties include: maintenance and/or construction of streets, grounds, buildings and properties including snow removal.
Union Wages: $16.71/hour; excellent benefits. Must be available for O.T. D.O.T. drug & alcohol testing mandatory.
